Rock star, vocalist and keyboardist Brandon Richard Flowers was born on June 21, 1981, at Nevada (outside Las Vegas). Brandon's father worked at an grocery store while his mother was a home maker. Brandon's grew up with five siblings all elder to Brandon. They were of Scottish and Lithuanian descent. In 1989 Brandon's family moved to Nephi, Utah. Brandon stayed at the new location till his junior year in high school and then moved back to Las Vegas at the age of 16. He stayed with his Aunt atLas Vegas.

The credit of providing good musical sense to Brandon goes to his brother Shane. Shane, who was 12 year older than Brandon, provided him tapes and videos, the likes of Smiths and U2's Rattle and Hum. Shane also introduced young Brandon to the music of 'The Beatles',' The Cure' and Morrissey. Since then Brandon is fan of bands like The Smiths, New Order and Pet Shop boys.

After renouncing studies and dropping college Brandon took odd jobs in Las Vegas including that of a bellhop at one of the Las Vegas hotel and casino known as Gold Coast Hotel. During this time he was part of synth pop band known as 'Blush Response.' In 2001, Flowers was dropped from the band as he refused to relocate to Los Angeles, California. Soon after being abandoned by his former band Brandon attended a concert by Rock Band Oasis. This experience motivated Brandon to associate with true Rock band instead of a keyboard band. Soon he joined hands with Guitarist 'Dave Keuning' through a paper advertisement sponsored by Keuning. Both men soon started searching for a bassist and a drummer. After few short lived relationships with few Drummers the duo was joined by bassist Mark Stoermer and drummer Ronnie Vannucci. This team became The Killers in the year 2002.

Brandon was always supported by his parents in his endeavor to become Rockstar. Las Vegas Review journal once noted that Brandon parents were often the only ones to attend his concerts in the initial days of the band now famous by the name 'The Killers'.At times flower was associated with controversies. Flowers was known to initiate feuds with others rock bands like 'Fall Out Boy' and 'Panic at the Disco'. However according to himself, the worst thing he has ever done was stealing wine coolers at the age of 11.

Brandon Flowers married Tana Munblowsky his long time girlfriend on August 2, 2005 at Hawaii Islands. The couple was blessed with a son on July 14 (2007) named Ammon Richard Flowers. Gerard Way lead singer of 'My Chemical Romance' and Brandon Flowers are good friends, both bands toured Australia's Big Day Out 2007 festival. Both of them keep in touch via e-mail. His favorite restaurant is Chapalas, a Mexican restaurant in Las Vegas. Flowers is a devout Christian and describes his personal faith very important for him. He is also an ardent fan of golf.
