Swedish singer, artist and chorister Caroline af Ugglas (born 7 April 1972) is maybe best known in Sweden for her Janis Joplin-like vocals and her unique stage persona. Her first EP ("Ida Blue") was released in 1997. She later also released "Mrs. Boring" in 1999 and "Twiggs" in 2005, but it wasn't until her participation with the song "Tror på dig" ("Believe in You") in Melodifestivalen 2007 she was recognized for her music. The same year she released her first gold-selling album "Joplin på svenska" (Joplin in Swedish"). It contains Swedish translations of some of Janis Joplin's songs, for example "Piece of My Heart" and "Me and Bobby McGee".

In March this year Caroline will release her fourth full-length studio album with the title "Så gör jag det igen" ("Then I Do It Again"). It will be her second album in Swedish. But this time it'll not be consisting of translated songs (an exception being one out of Martha Wainwright's "Bloody Mother Fucking Asshole"), but all lyrics are written by Caroline herself, except the song "Du var mitt hjärta" ("You Were My Heart") written by Markus Krunegård (Laakso's singer, who is now doing well with his solo career).

Caroline was also the brain behind the television concept that in United States was called Clash of the Choirs, where the first season was won by Nick Lachey. The concept was also picked up in Australia, where it was called Battle of the Choirs, in the Netherlands as Korenslag and has also been aired for two seasons in Swedish television with the title being Körslaget (which can be translated into 'battle of the choirs').
