AboutCatherine Ringer was born on October 18, 1957 in Suresnes, France. In 1976, she studied dance with Argentinian teacher Marcia Moretto. The song "Marcia Baila" was written as a tribute after her death in 1981. Catherine also played in pornographic films in 1976 & 1977.
In 1979, she met Frédéric Chichin, who became her partner & together, they created Rita Mitsouko. Catherine went solo after Frédéric's death, on November 28, 2007 & released her first album Ring N' Roll in May 2011.
