An inventive comedian and electric performer who has developed a worldwide following, Dane Cook is poised to firmly establish his unique brand of humor with a plethora of upcoming projects in film and television.

Most recently, HBO has signed Cook to an unprecedented multi-faceted deal that will include series, specials and other projects. Among the initial projects under the agreement are exclusive rights to Cook for all non-traditional media platforms, development of a scripted series, a comedy documentary series entitled Tourgasm which will premiere Sunday evening June 11th after The Sopranos, and a feature length stand-up film (directed by Marty Callner Rolling Stones: Live from Madison Square Garden and Robin Williams: Live on Broadway) from the TD Banknorth Garden in Cook's hometown of Boston on April 15th.

Additionally, Cook made a special appearance at the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards performing stand-up and presenting an award. Dane capped off the year on December 3rd, when he became one of only a handful of comedians to host Saturday Night Live in its 31 year history. After the show aired, which was the highest rated in two years; he received rave reviews for his stand-up monologue and lively sketches.

Cook is currently enjoying the successful release of his sophomore CDx2/DVD, Retaliation, (which is certified Platinum) debuting at Number Four on the Billboard 200, making him the highest charting comedian in twenty-five years.

This follows the success of Cook's debut release Harmful If Swallowed which has sold more than 450,000 copies in less than two years, has been certified Gold, and has garnered appearances on 8 different Billboard charts since its release.

In February, Cook began production on the Lions Gate Film, Employee of the Month, directed by Greg Coolidge and co-starring Jessica Simpson. Cook was last seen on the big screen in October in Waiting, written and directed by Rob McKittrick and co-starring Ryan Reynolds and Anna Farris. In addition, he can be seen in Hunter Richards' London which stars Jessica Biel and Chris Evans.

This adds to a number of groundbreaking appearances on late-night talk shows, including Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Tonight Show most notably his Thanksgiving Day Special for the troops and the night that he kissed Charlize Theron's ass while the audience looked on in amazement.

Additionally, Cook has headlined Comedy Central's Insomniac Tour Movie, and lent his voice to Crank Yankers, and Shorties Watchin' Shorties. Some of Cook's other feature credits include Torque, which was directed by Joseph Kahn and starred Ice Cube; Peter Pau's The Touch with Michelle Yeoh and Ben Chaplin; and Kinka Usher's Mystery Men with Ben Stiller.

As a stand-up comedian, Cook has built an unprecedented following through an unparalleled commitment to touring and via his website www.DANECOOK.com. Throughout his 16 year career, sell out crowds and packed houses have been the norm at stops as varied as Carnegie Hall, The Theatre at Madison Square Garden, Continental Airlines Arena, and the sold out 50,000 seat football stadium at the University of Florida's Gator Growl.

Among the accolades Cook has received for his work as a stand-up comic include being named Rolling Stone Magazine's "Hot Comic," winner of Comedy Central's Stand-Up Showdown, and Stuff Magazine's "Coolest Comic of the Year."

Cook has also proven himself as a writer, director, and producer with his work on the comedy short film 8 Guys and the dramatic short Spiral, for which he won the internet-based Pixie Award for Best Actor.

Cook takes great care in tending to his ever-growing fan base through various means, including utilizing the internet in extraordinary ways. His website receives well over 500,000 hits per month and is frequently updated to give his fans the latest information as to his upcoming projects and appearances. That combined with his MySpace.com following, which has grown to over 1,000,000 friends, it is clear that Dane is taking his career to the next level by using tools that others never did before him.

Upcoming projects in 2006 that Dane will be working on include Touchstone's Dan in Real Life with Steve Carell, as well as three film projects that were originated through his burgeoning company, SUperFInger Entertainment. These projects range from a father and son road comedy set up with producer David Hoberman (Bringing Down the House) and Disney; The Ex-Family, set up at the Weinstein Company (Derailed, Scary Movie); and his before mentioned concert film to be released theatrically and then aired on HBO which will be shot in Boston in front of his hometown fans on April 15th of this year, in which he completely sold out two shows (35,000 seats) through his website presales in less than 6 days, setting new box office records.
