Contemporary folk singer/songwriter, Dani Shay, who is also co-founder and spokesperson for Be More Heroic (a new anti-bullying campaign), has always been driven to create positive changes in the world by inspiring people to feel, listen to, and trust their own hearts. After walking away from her Mormon upbringing, moving out on her own when she was 17, and quitting her "real job" at the age of 21, she was determined to create her dreams as a reality (no matter what anyone thought).

At the age of 18, she produced her first record, Free! The EP (2008), which was followed shortly thereafter by her first full-length album, Rise From The Dead (2009). Toward the fall of 2010, after a year of intense emotional and financial hardships, she took a week of total seclusion and independently recorded her very intimate album, See Me Now. Then, to keep the intimate feeling of the record alive, she decided to personalize the first 1,000 copies sold, with sharpie drawings on each one. Little did she know however, a thousand copies would sell a lot sooner than she anticipated, to listeners all over the world...

On New Years Eve 2011, before almost anyone knew who she was, Dani proclaimed to everyone she knew, "I am ready to share myself with the world; I am finally ready to succeed. I don't know how I'm going to do it, but this year, everything is going to change." And it did.

In early March, immediately after attending a powerful self-development course (Avatar), 2 of her videos simultaneously went viral on YouTube, climbing from around 40 thousand, to over a million views each, in one night. She woke up to being featured on CBS, NBC, FOX News, Perez Hilton, and several international publications. Soon after, she went on NBC's America's Got Talent, and won over the hearts of millions, singing her clever Justin Bieber parody, "What The Hell", followed by her original song, "Superheroes" in Vegas. She stuck to her indie-roots throughout the competition, despite the judges' encouragement to do something more popular and "mainstream", and actually gained a devoted following of fans by doing so.

Since her critically acclaimed appearance on TV, Dani has released a new album, All In Favor, Say I , and a single, "Know You", both of which have a uniquely and different sound than her prior recordings. She is currently working with her good friend, Justin Chase (of Be More Heroic), to create a diverse show that they will bring to schools all over the US, in order to raise awareness and compassion in today's youth.

Dani Shay has recently been one of 14 contenders on Oxygen's 'The Glee Project' Season 2. She was sent home the second week, Dancibility Week. She has appeared in several music videos for the Glee Project. The music videos include 'Edge of Glory', 'Here I Go Again', 'Party Rock Anthem', and 'Tonight, Tonight'.
