    Known to some as the quiet giant of Jamaican music, he has been involved with the music of virtually every Jamaican superstar including Bob Marley. His guitar artistry has been featured on several winning Grammy Awards albums.

    His songs and his music have true universal appeal. He has been the leader of the Sharks, the incredible Zap-Pow and the world famous Roots Radics and now he leads his own DP band.

    He has performed all over the world and appeared in three feature films. His Multi award winning debut album "Jamaican Memories by the Score" introduced him to a new generation and made him popular all over again as a solo performer, not just with reggae enthusiasts, but with Jazz lovers all over the globe.

    His follow-ups have had similar success and landed him distribution deals in the world's major music markets.

    Pinkney with his Zap-Pow band received the Prime Minister award for outstanding contribution to the Jamaican Music industry, as well as the IRAWMA AWARD of honour at the world famous APPOLLO THEATRE in New York City where he brought the house down performing his own composition "How Could I Live"after walking the Red Carpet mobbed by journalists and fans.

    A star of the Rebel salute, Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues festival and the JAVAA Road Show, he has reciently released his monumental CD "Pinkney Picks Marley Melodies" a unique gem for music lovers and collectors.
    "Pinkney Picks Marley Melodies" was launched at the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival along with Boris Gardiner, Ernie Smith and Pluto Shervington as a quad package called "All 4 One"
    Pinkney has played on every JAVAA's ( Jamaica Association Of Vintage Artists and Affilliates} calendar show "Tribute to Bob Marley and Dennis Brown" at the Pegasus Hotel. He opened for Kenny Rodgers at Jazz and Blues in MoBay and Kings House Kingston; the Drifters Valentine Show at The Liguanea Golf Academy and has been recalled by popular demand for Carnival's cruise line 'Four Seasons Party Cruise' going three years in a row.
    Pinkney shot his latest video 'Dwlight Zone' in Kingston Jamaica reciently and will launch his new CD/DVD shortly. Distribution will be handled by Tad's International Records.
    More reciently Pinkney has been invited by international group Reggae groups 'Isreal Vibration' to open for them at Madison Square Gardens in June.
