    Blurring the distinction between styles with hypnotic grooves and textural soundscapes is the essence of Full Blown Kirk. Though quickly having wrought their own unique sound, this Kent, Ohio band is perpetually reinventing themselves with experimental techniques.

    Their music rolls with a pocket-precision groove that is impossible to ignore. Drawing from techno and hip-hop, Full Blown Kirk develops entrancing, danceable rhythms. Their recordings and performances employ an innovative blend of electronic and acoustic material.

    At the center of the quintet are Alison Scola and Krista Tortora, whose sultry and sinewy incantations define a powerful, fantastical presence. Commingling, they move from clever banters, through lustrous harmonies, to disquieting dissonance.

    Fortifying the groove are inventive instrumentalists Joe Minadeo, Jack Randall and Dave Braun. Forging and folding found sounds, Minadeo's evocative keyboards keep the music fresh. Randall delivers diverse guitar lines, weaving a thick, sonic delirium. The pervasive bass compounds the potent groove. Braun's drumming provides the music a precise and varied backbone, from solid hip hop to tasteful, exotic rhythms.
