AboutGabrielle Lyn Gardiner, is a singer, rapper, song writer and musician. She writes songs from pop to soul, on subjects from break-ups to inspirational and loves to include rap as she feels this gives her an edge! She was born in Stevenage, Hertfordshire in the UK on 11th December 1998. Although she aspires to travel the whole world touring when she leaves school Gabz still lives in Stevenage with her Mum, Dad and younger brother.
Growing up Gabz always loved music and entertaining, and started playing violin at the age of 6 and can now play 5 instruments; piano, violin, guitar, drums, and ukulele – although she admits "some better than others!" Her musical influences include Jessie J, Rihanna, Cher Lloyd & Ed Sheeran. Gabz also passed examinations in drama, ballet, modern and tap dance although her first passion has always been music.
Gabz showed signs of wanting to be in the entertainment business at an early age. She made her stage debut at the age of 6 playing a mouse in the North Central Herts School of Dance (NCHSD) production of Cinderella at the Alban Arena in St Albans, UK in July 2004. Gabz went on to perform a number of times for the NCHSD including performances at Her Majesty's Theatre, London, and Disneyland, Paris. Gabrielle has also performed at numerous local music concerts and shows.
En route to the final of the seventh series of Britain's Got Talent in June 2013, Gabz got to sing and play the piano live to her own song for a packed audience at The London Palladium. She released her debut single "Lighters (The One)" on 30 June 2013 via Sony Music, which peaked at number 6 in the Official UK Singles Chart as well as getting onto the Now 85 Album. Gabz was just 13 years of age when she wrote this song!
Since Britain's Got Talent, Gabz has been working really hard with her school work and also fitting in appearances on Radio One, ITV Day Break, This Morning, Friday Download, The Olympic Park 'Go Local Event' alongside McFly and red carpet premieres of movies as well as numerous personal appearances. Gabz has also had the opportunity to fly in and co-pilot a real stunt plane and interviewed the Director & Producer of the Disney 'Planes' movie. On March 16th, 2014 Gabz performed Lighters (The One) with a full orchestra, conducted by Rufus Frowde, at the world famous Royal Albert Hall in London.
Gabz released her second single "Lie There", which she wrote herself, on 3rd November 2013.
Gabz has now written 40 songs (as of January 2014) and is currently working on her first studio album and about to embark on her first UK Tour as a special guest to Anttix
