AboutJacques Joseph Victor Higelin was a French actor and singer-songwriter, born on October 18, 1940 in Brou-sur-Chantereine, France and dead on April 6, 2018. A brilliant pupil, he was interested in music (his father was an amateur pianist). Then he decided to become an actor.
In the 60's, he played in films ("Bébert Et L'Omnibus" in 1963, "Par Un Beau Matin D'été" in 1965 & "Les Encerclés" in 1967) & played music for Georges Moustaki. Then he met Brigitte Fontaine & the duet released an album in 1967, 15 Chansons Avant Le Déluge. After that, he got a nice career with his albums (Tombé Du Ciel in 1988, Aux Héros De La Voltige in 1994 & Higelin Enchante Trenet in 2005) & continued playing in films ("Contre L'Oubli" in 1991 & "À Mort La Mort" in 1998). In 2006, Jacques came back with his album Amor Doloroso, produced by Rodolphe Burger, including beautiful songs like "Se Revoir Et S'Émouvoir" & "Ici, C'Est L'Enfer".
He had 3 children : Arthur H, Kên Higelin and Izïa.
