    Marie-Mai Bouchard is a Canadian lyricist & singer, born on July 7, 1984 in Varennes (Québec).

    During her childhood, she started playing the piano & the guitar. At 18, she failed to join the cast of Mixmania. In 2003, the pop-rock singer joined the cast for "Star Académie" : she lost in semifinal against Marie-Élaine Thibert. However, lyricist Luc Plamondon has been really impressed by Marie-Mai & encouraged her to sing in French.

    Her debut album Inoxydable came out on September 28, 2004 on Musicor. The French edition came out on April 10, 2006 on Warner Music France. It sold 120,000 copies & included the songs "Il Faut Que Tu T'En Ailles" & "Encore Une Nuit". In 2005, Marie-Mai won a prize for the video "Il Faut Que Tu T'En Ailles".

    Her second album Dangereuse Attraction came out on August 28, 2007 in Canada. The French edition came out on May 26, 2008 on Warner Music France. It has been certified gold disc in Canada.

    Her third album Version 3.0 came out on September 26, 2009. It included the singles "Rebâtir Notre Histoire" & "C'Est Moi". Marie-Mai received her third gold disc in 2009 & a platinum disc in 2011.
    On February 28, 2010, she performed at the closing ceremony for the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. In 2011, she appeared on the French version of Simple Plan's single "Jet Lag".

    On September 4, 2011, Marie-Mai & her composer/producer Fred St-Gelais got married in Hawaï.

    Her fourth album Miroir came out on September 17, 2012. It included the singles "Sans Cri Ni Haine", "C.O.B.R.A." & "Jamais Ailleurs". In 2013, Marie-Mai will be a coach for the French-speaking Canadian version of "The Voice", named "La Voix".
