One of Detroit's finest, Monument, Monument has been turning heads ever since the release of their "Call Off The Roses" EP in the summer of 2006. The band began as a 2-piece studio project in 2004, when Steven Branstrom and Christopher Abalos started writing electronic drum driven tracks in Abalos' basement. Due to a tremendous response from several demoed songs, the two decided to seek more members to complete the project and play live. By the end of 2005, Monument, Monument was a full band and began writing what would later become the "Call Off The Roses" EP. The band has quickly gained the respect of many local and national acts alike for being extremely hard working and having such a solid live show. Monument, Monument maintains a very strict touring and practice schedule having been on several extensive U.S. tours to promote their record, and practicing at least 4 times a week in their rehearsal studio. These great lakes gentlemen have the passion and work ethic to leave a substantial mark in today's music industry. Given the right opportunities they are bound to do just that.
