AboutMyriam Abel (real name Myriam Abdelhamid), previously known as Myriam Moréa, was born on May 15, 1981 in La Grand-Combe, France. She started singing in an association when she was young. In 1997, her first appearance was in the TV show "Je Passe À La Télé" & she became the winner. In 2000, Myriam failed at Star Academy & "Popstars" castings but continued appearing in other TV shows, like "C'Est Mon Choix" & "La Chance Aux Chansons".
Finally, she passed the casting for Nouvelle Star in 2005. Her tenderness, her sensitiveness & her powerful voice made her the winner of the TV show in May 2005. In December 2005, Myriam released her debut album La Vie Devant Toi. Her first single, "Donne", has been written by Lara Fabian & her second single has been a cover of Tracy Chapman's "Baby Can I Hold You". In May 2009, her son Roland Jr. was born. Myriam's second album Qui Je Suis came out in January 2011.
