AboutNew Years Day is a post hardcore rock band that has been making quite a lot of noise and catching a lot of attention of many with their ultra-catchy, anthemic songs that just happen to be loaded with daggers for lyrics. Making them unique in the boy dominated punk scene is the bold presence of a now 30-year old singer Ashley "Ash" Costello, who provides distinct and empowering vocals to the band. The result is "My Dear", the debut album that Alternative Press calls "Punk with a nice Vampira bite," and which prompted AbsolutePunk.com to declare them "A real contender for 'Next Big Thing.'" New Years Day rolled out their sharp-spiked pop-punk sound nationwide on this summer's Vans Warped Tour starting on June 28, following dates in April and May opening for Ozma and William Tell.
The first single off "My Dear" is the infections pop punk anthem "I Was Right." Since then, NYD has released a full length album on June 11, 2013 via Century Media Records titled 'Victim To Villain' with their big hit "Angel Eyes (ft. Chris Motionless of Motionless In White)" that rocketed on the billboards. They also released another EP on Novemeber 18, 2014 titled 'Epidemic' which came singles "Defame Me" and "Other Side".

On October 2, 2015 they released their brand new full length album 'Malevolence' releasing a few songs at a time via Facebook. The album is being sold in Best Buy and online at the Apple Store. Be sure to check them out of you haven't already!
