AboutNika (real name Mónica Rodríguez Díaz) is a Spanish pop singer, born on December 11, 1979 in Torrejón de Ardoz, Madrid, Spain. She learnt ballet dancing at 3 until 14, & also played tennis. At 18, she learnt guitar & piano, went to Madrid's University & in 2002, she was part of a hard rock band. In 2002, Nika joined the casting for "Operación Triunfo" first season but she didn't win.
In 2003, she released her debut single "Trampa De Cristal", which became double platinum disc. Her debut album ¿Quién Dijo Que Era El Fin? included "Ser Yo", the title-track & "Se Acaba El Corazón". After a tour with Hugo Salazar, her album became gold disc.
Nika left Vale Music & on April 2, 2007, her second album Desde Madrid came out on an independent label. Nika composed nearly every song on it & was part of the project "Nuevos Talentes".
In 2012, she became part of the band Münik.
