    Biography

    Ophélie Winter (real name Ophélie Kleerekoper) is a French actress, dancer & singer, born on February 20, 1974 in Boulogne-Billancourt, France. Her father is the Dutch singer David-Alexandre Winter & her brother is Michael Winter. Ophélie started her career at 6, recording a 7" for children. However, she really started in 1992, meeting 2 producers, the Nakache brothers.
    In 1994, she hosted "Hit Machine" on M6. Her natural side attracted the audience & she became a 90's idol. Her 1995 single "Dieu M'A Donné La Foi" has been N°1 & sold 500,000 copies. She was nominated for "Révélation" for the Victoires de la Musique. In 1996, her debut album No Soucy ! (500,000 copies sold) followed with the songs "Le Feu Qui M'Attise", "Shame On You" & her duet with Coolio, "Keep It On The Red Light". Ophélie is also an actress, she was the star of Claude Lelouch's "Hommes Femmes Mode D'Emploi", Jérôme Cornuau's "Bouge" & "Folle D'Elle", Philippe Muyl's "Tout Doit Disparaître" & Gilles Paquet-Brenner's "Les Jolies Choses". In 1998, her second album Privacy sold 1 million copies. In 2001, she played in Allan Goldstein's film "2001 : A Space Travesty".
    In 2002, her third album Explicit Lyrics was R&B & soul with a bit of hip-hop & an efficient & modern groove. In September 2007, she was part of "Popstars" jury with Benjamin Chulvanij, Sébastien Farran & Mia Frye. 2 years later, she released her fourth album Resurrection.

    In September 2014, Ophélie participated to "Danse Avec Les Stars" with Rayane Bensetti, Corneille, Joyce Jonathan, Louisy Joseph, Brian Joubert, Anthony Kavanagh, Miguel Ángel Muñoz, Nathalie Pechalat & Élisa Tovati. She & her dancer Christophe Licata ended at the tenth place.
