PJ has lead an inspired life since his early days in Houghton and his journey has taken him through the many ups and downs of the music business.

"The most important thing in my life is caring for my wonderful wife and three kids. I enjoy living a simple life of family, hope, and fun. Music and words rule my every moment and I'm sort of just along for the ride."

In 2009 while still living in Houghton, PJ was asked to headline at the local Houghton Spring Art and Music Festival. PJ agreed to the performance with a twist, his performance would be backed by kids. PJ Olsson's call his band of 18 kids, "PJ Olsson's Rock Camp" which when on to amaze, inspire, and delight at the festival performance.

A product of producing the 2009 Rock Camp was a friendship and partnership that PJ developed with local organizers and promoter Todd Brassard.

In 2010 PJ and Todd reinvented the Rock Camp to better feature individual kids. PJ Olsson's Rock Camp was reborn. A two-week intensive musical experience for kids innovative in that kids and professional musicians played on the same stage and in the same show.

In late 2010, PJ and his family move to Colorado so PJ could more easily work on a number of projects.
