AboutI was born in 1956, and I guess the success of my life was to gain, although in a small way, acceptance on the Internet as a lyricist and
songwriter. I attended a high school in upstate New York, in a village called Liberty, and was lucky enough to attend the state university of
human ecology at Cornell University, in Ithaca, New York. It's an ivy league school, and I found it tough enough to merit a transfer after my
first year to the state school, Harpur, in Binghamton...however, before
I could begin my sophomore year somewhere other than Binghamton, I
suffered the kind of breakdown that we all fight to avoid...and as years
passed, I never did succeed in earning a degree...unreal...that in 2014,
my independence that had been so very important...would have taken
me down a forty year path that involved an anathema of chronology
and, happily, though, a story that reflects itself through my lyrics, my music, and my poetry...and alot of it is categorically expressed in songs
that are publically available under my name on various sites, including 'LetsSingIt'!
I have a mother who lives in Florida and two married siblings, both sisters, who have husbands, and, one nephew, an only child, and
three nieces, all sisters...and my eldest sister works on Cabaret 313.org, as an advertising personnel who arranges performances
throughout the scope of her site and her position. Her son is a writer, who plays guitar and performs in Greenwich Village.
And, as to my other sibling, a Princeton graduate and a lawyer, who
got her law degree and resides in Buffalo, New York,
she is a gifted musician herself, and her oldest daughter majored in
opera at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh. My other two nieces sing
as well as act, and the youngest, a recent sweet sixteen, plays
the cello, besides...
And these are only the musical parts of my immediate family...oh
yeah...my youngest brother-in-law plays the guitar.
And I play some piano and some guitar myself.
And that is Reisa Gerber's biography...at least the part that's fit to print.
Thank you!
