For such a young band, Ronin's Story has excelled over the past 2 years from being a garage band to becoming what they are today. This 5 piece metal band has put their mark on the little town of Chester, Virginia and continues to grow throughout Richmond and the tri-cities areas surrounding Chesterfield. With their musical talent and exciting live performance, the band is growing very fast and shows no signs of stopping until they reach what they set out to do, control. Soon to rise to the top of their game and early career, Ronin's Story is a must see act for those of you who enjoy metal music from such a young group of musicians.
The musicians that make up Ronin's Story are: Andrew "Chode" Hess (lead vocals), Kendall Ortman (lead guitar), Justin Perry (rhythm guitar), Will Michalik (bass guitar), and Nick Barnett (drums/backup vocals). The original members are Kendall, Will, and Nick who all met back when they were in middle school and have been playing music with each other ever since. Shortly after they had their first few practices, they realized that this is what they wanted their lives to be, making music.
Ronin's Story played a few shows with the original 3-man line up that they had and started to get better until they decided to pick up a second guitarist. A few months after the band got together, they picked up Justin Perry for their rhythm guitarist and he has been with the group ever since. Justin was another good friend of the bands from middle school but didn?t start playing guitar till after they got out of school and now he is a solid piece of the group.
During their high school years, the band realized that they needed to do something about getting a lead vocalist. They looked around for a while until finally finding Andrew Hess. Once Andrew was put on the mic., the final piece of the puzzel had been filled in.
The group known as Ronin's Story to this day has been nothing short of amazing and by staying with the same group of guys, they have been able to overcome many obstacles and have learned to read each others abilities and feed off one another to an art form.
