AboutRoyal Wade Kimes known as "The Gentleman Outlaw" was discovered by the late legendary Eddy Arnold. He is the last generation to ride the Arkansas/Oklahoma Border Country as a range cowboy. His ancestors were notorious outlaws and Kimes is made of the same stuff. He, against all odds went against the establishment of Nashville and stayed true to Roots Country & Westrrn Cowboy style music. No one gave him a chance of succeeding, but he prevailed. True West Magazine wrote a feature of the accomplishement and the late James Arness of the television series "Gunsmoke" congratulated Kimes for beating the system. He is a two time winner of the "Will Rogers" award and has been named "top musician" by True West. Two of his singles were the most requested songs on XM Radio for two years running. Kimes has written hits for Garth Brooks, Diamond Rio, Gene watson and others, not to mention himself. He has scored numerous number one records of his own, with one song "I'm An Ole Song" being a top thirty most popular song of the year in Roots Music. Kimes has recorded tweleve albums thus far, with his newest being "Shadows Of Time" released March 31st, 2015. The reocord has recieved praise from industry giants like George Peden of Nutsaboutcountry.com in Australia and Larry Holden former Country Weekly Editor & Chief calling it ingenious. No one song sounds alike and is mixed with tempo, ballads, outlaws, love songs, and sentimental stories of home, mountains and people. Kimes is considered the best act out there that is not being played on mainstream payola radio.
