here's the bio. which is awkward since we're writing it ourselves. nonetheless, this is what we hope our music sounds like: interesting, lyrical pop music shot out into space, bouncing around the satellites and getting mixed in with all their beeping and blipping. like if r2-d2 had an aching heart and a love for the noisiest beatles songs. ideally, if you took out the depressing lyrics and substituted in educational stuff about sharing with others and the states and capitals, you could sit down at a piano and have a classroom of kids singing along within minutes. that's the idea anyway. weird sounds get added later. and then we get to play live and see if we can make every heart in the room burst with pent-up feelings. it's a good job.

so here's the short version of our musical lives: michael started writing songs in high school, wrote a bunch of really bad songs, played in a bunch of fun, nowhere bands, went to college, majored in english, songs got better, bands kind of didn't, moved to boston for music school. then things took a turn for the better. among other good things, 2 great things happened in boston—he won 2nd place in this john lennon songwriting scholarship thing, got to go to nyc and meet yoko and everything. and michael met josh kaler in boston. josh plays most of the instruments on the new record. we worked out the arrangements and stuff together. he's smart but somehow michael was able to convince him to move to charleston. through hypnosis and mind-altering drugs, michael convinced local genius danny cassady to join up on bass. then west coast guitar hero dave middleton lost a bet and had to join in on the noisemaking. the giant robot was nearly complete and set about it's mission to rock faces in the name of sweet justice.

we can't think of anything else that's really relevant to this biography. there have been lots of tiny little successes that were nice but don't warrant mention here. have you read churchill's biography? THAT'S a biography. this is a post-it note on your fridge. hopefully it will grow long and illustrious as the years pass and we all get better acquainted.
