AboutTaka Boom (real name Yvonne Stevens) is an American disco-funk-house-soul singer, born in 1954 in Chicago, Illinois. She is Chaka Khan's sister. She took her nickname of her husband, saxophonist John Brumbach, to whom she married in the early 70's.
