From the depths of Sweden two guys, called Jonathan and Chris, began to play some heavy music early in their lifes. Wandering around their new schoolyard in the 7th grade, they stumbled upon the not even drummerish drummer, Richard. The three of them began to talk about playing together. It wasn't until the guitarist, Johan Harrius, joined the band they began the small but fun life of a basement band. The line-up became as such:
Jonathan Mortensen – Vocals, Guitar, Bass
Johan Harrius – Vocals, Guitar, Bass
    Christoffer Melin – Guitar
    Richard Ivarsson Malm – Drums

Later on Johan quit the band due to personal reasons. The band was in search for a new bass player and found to their own unbelief the not so good bass player Agust Ahlberg. The band now had their goals set for a bit more serious things than whacking of in the basement. The line-up of the band was now:

    Jonathan Mortensen – Vocals, Guitars
    Christoffer Melin – Guitars
    Agust Ahlberg – Bass
    Rick I/M – Drums

The band now called "PreWar", was in need of some gigs. With some of their own songs blended with some Maiden, Metallica, AC/DC and Judas Priest they made their first show in a church basement. This wasn't a success and only 20 people, mostly friends, showed their support to the really shitty band. After a while back in the basement, rehearsing and drinking countless of beers, they where ready for the stage again. The band made a couple of gigs and thought that a demo was lurkin' around the corner. In mars 2002 the band made their first demo "PreWar" which became a real fiasco. According to the band the whole thing is made up by some idiot whom they've pissed of real bad. Haha!
Time went on and the band went from gig to gig and made numerous shows until it was time for a new demo. This time it was a step in the right direction... But not a big step...
" Wasted World" (2003) was never released outside the companionship of the band.
This demo was followed shortly by "Gearhead" (2004). At first it was meant that the singer/guitarist, Jonathan, would sing. In this part of the bands history he started to complain that he couldn't sing no more. The band now had a demo without a vocal track...
Jonathan, who had been playing in some bands besides PreWar, asked the singer
Marcus Thorell ("Isolated", "Golden Warriors") if he had the time to check out the band and try to sing some songs. They were connected at once. Marcus went into the studio and laid down the missing vocal tracks and their new demo was complete.
The band was now called Osiris.

    Marcus Thorell – Lead vocals
Jonathan Mortensen – Guitars, Backing vocals
Christoffer Melin – Guitars, Backing vocals
    Agust Ahlberg – Bass
    Rick I / M - Drums

Now this was a good demo! But due to money problems the demo was not released. "Osiris" became a well known act in Jonkoping. As the bands popularity grew, the members of the band slowly parted ways.
It was the different meanings of what music to play that was the reason the band split up, or as they say themselves: "It was just a break from each other".
During these months the band had to get some rest from the music. A.Ahlberg was in military service and the rest of the band had different jobs. It took about nine months to a year before the band began their rehearsals again. During the "break", Jon and Chris had written a million songs and found a common ground for their songs. About two weeks after the "reunion" the band talked about another demo and a new name that would fit everyone. The demo was recorded in the same studio (matchtown studio) as the last one and the producer had a bit more interest of the new sound. "Unleashed" (2005) was a great demo and the band was satisfied with the sound they've created. The demo sold quite well and got some good reviews.

Unfortunately Richard went to study in Gothenburg and didn't have the time for playing music. The guys were again without a drummer. The time went on and the end for The Embodied was near. Luckily the band sticked together and managed to find a new drummer.
Emanuel Ericsson, a great drummer, was found in one of Jonathans side bands. They asked him to at least try playing with them as Emanuel wasn't in on Heavy Metal. Emanuel was
Surprised how fun and complex the songs were and said yes to his newfound friends.
Some great gigs were played and the band was now complete.

    Marc Thorell – Lead vocals
Jon Mortensen – Guitars, Backing vocals
Chris Melin – Guitars, Backing vocals
    A. Ahlberg – Bass
    Emanuel Ericsson – Drums
