The Falcon is a band featuring Dan Andriano, Todd Mohney, Neil Hennessy and myself. My name is Brendan. We have all been friends for a long time. In fact, Dan and I have been playing in bands together and touring off and on for the past twelve years, Neil and I have been doing the same for the last six and Todd has been playing in bands with Neil for the past couple of years. Well, the whole thing is pretty incestuous and hard to explain, but let me just try to hammer out the big points here.

Okay, I'm the bass player and more raspy sounding singer for the Lawrence Arms. I also sing and play guitar in the Falcon. Neil is the drummer of the Lawrence Arms and he's also the drummer of the Falcon. Todd was the riff meister (that's music industry jargon for guitarist) in Rise Against on Revolutions Per Minute (no, he's not still in the band, and NO, he's not that long haired weirdo from back in the day either [no offense to Mr. Precision, a riff meister in his own right]). Dan is in the Alkaline Trio, and if you don't know who he is, I'm kind of curious how you got onto this website to begin with, but regardless, he's the bass player known for the more crooning, Smiths-esque side of the Trio.

Now, I know what you're thinking, I smell a super group, and those things usually end up like Temple of the Dog or Pro-Bot or some shit that puts out one crappy thing and then fades into history. Let me assure you, this is not the case with the Falcon. You see,(and bear with me here) we started this thing because we're four friends with an opportunity to do whatever we really want to do. It's a different outlet. It's like shitting. Shitting is great, but sometimes you have to pee. It's not that you don't love shitting, but sometimes something builds up inside you that shitting won't take care of. And that's where peeing comes in.

Similarly, we've got the Falcon. We wanted to have a punk rock band that did whatever it wanted with no real preconceptions of sound or attitude, so we started this. Is it a side project? No. It's another band. Kind of in the same way that Bo Jackson played football and baseball, we're the fucking Bo Jackson of rock. (We're also the Bo Derek of rock, because we're all perfect 10s, and the Michael Jackson of rock because we're all about the kids [boo,I know, he hasn't even gone to trial and my jokes are only tantamount to complicity in a premature condemnation, so be it])

So what can you expect from The Falcon? Here's the answer: a full length, which is already in the process of being written, shows and tours. But how can we tour with so many other bands to tour with? The answer is twofold. Fold one: careful scheduling. Fold two: celebrity guest stars. That's right. Neil can't tour? We'll get John Stamos on drums, and so on.
