The View are a Scottish indie rock band. They incorporate various styles such as punk, pop, alternative rock, pop punk, powerpop, folk, and acoustic in their music. The band are currently signed to 1965 Records and their first single, "Wasted Little DJs", was released on 12 August 2006. The single entered the MTV Two/NME charts on 9 July 2006, eventually reaching number one on 13 August 2006. On the same day, the song reached number 15 in the UK Singles Chart.

The View released their debut album Hats Off to the Buskers on 22 January 2007, which entered the UK Album Chart at number one the following week. It was nominated for the 2007 Mercury Music Prize.

Plucked from their somewhat bleak youth training jobs and blasting straight into a number 1 debut album, cash, wealth, fame and infamy in equal doses before their twenties, it's easy to understand that it's been an intense and electrifying journey. Recognition as an incredible live band came early.

Kyle Falconer on vocals and rhythm guitar, Kieren Webster on bass, Peter Reilly on lead guitar and Steve Morrison on drums got together and recorded an EP with a local label. On the strength of this success they went on to sign with James Endeacott's 1965 label through Columbia. Gaining wide notoriety and massive radio coverage with hit singles off their debut album 'Hats off to the Buskers' led on an intense period of international touring and promotion. Countless YouTube moments can be found here

Gathering their thoughts in the lead up to a third album, and still charmingly young and youthful. Drawing on the best aspects of their previous efforts, the catchy simplicity of Hats Off, and the unexpected maturity of comeback 'Which Bitch', a bewitching if not instantly commercial album.
