AboutTina Arena (real name Filippina Lydia Arena) is an Australian singer, born on November 1, 1967 in Moonee Pounds, Victoria, Australia. When she was young, she started singing during a wedding. Seduced by her voice, her parents took her to the TV show "Young Talent Time" & she performed there every week, in front of 6 million viewers, during 7 years. She left television to take singing & acting lessons.
In 1989, she released her first album Strong As Steel, with an instant success. One of the single was N°2 in the "Singles of the year". Then Tina performed in a musical. In 1994, her second album Don't Ask sold 2 million copies & the single "Chains" is a success in Australia, United States & England. Unfortunately, France missed it & discovered her in 1999 with her hit "Aller Plus Haut", seducing thousands of fans. Settled in France, Tina worked with David Hallyday, Jacques Vénéruso & Pascal Obispo on her album Just Me, in 2001. In 2005, her son Gabriel was born & Tina thanked her French fans on her first French album Un Autre Univers. Composer & singer of songs full of sentiments, poesies & stories, Tina has become an international artist. She was back in 2008 with her album 7 Vies, 13 songs with nice stories & emotion, followed by a compilation, The Best & Le Meilleur. On December 14, 2011, French Culture Minister Frédéric Mitterrand decorated Tina "Chevalier de l'Ordre du Mérite".
