AboutVein is an American songwriter, artist, producer, and DJ, born Gavriel Rafael Aminov, September 5, 1985. Raised in Miami, FL, his exposure to music began early with piano lessons at age five. Under strict supervision of his mother, two to three hours of practice every day became an unbreakable routine. It was this discipline that allowed him to grasp the music theory that would become so vital in his future. It was while attending Michael Krop Senior High School where Gavriel was given his stage name, courtesy of his classmates. "I have a scar down the center of my head. They said it looked like a vein. I kinda liked that. So it stuck."
Vein began growing his name the only way he knew how. Legwork. A lot of it. Once he began getting his remixes of popular songs played on Miami radio stations such as Power 96, Y-100, and 103.5 The Beat, He not only garnered the attention of radio listeners, but of international superstar, Pitbull. Immediately following was their first collaboration, "Midnight", on Pit's Boatlift album, which transcended from the iPod to the silver screen when it was featured in Disney's dance movie, "Step Up 2".
Since then, he has collaborated with a wide range of artists including Enrique Iglesias, Red Foo (of LMFAO), Jay Sean, Alejandro Sans, Belinda, J. Balvin, Ashanti, Robin Thicke, and Leona Lewis. While touring the world, Vein has had some incredible experiences, performing in front of thousands on a nightly basis. None have yet to match the feeling of his New Years Eve performance of "11:59", live on ABC with Pitbull in Times Square to bring in 2012. He had now reached millions. A far cry from the original legwork of remixing popular songs, Vein is now a growing brand.
