Ciara cover
Ciara (born Ciara Princess Harris on October 25, 1985 in Fort Hood, Texas) is a Grammy-Award winning, American singer-songwriter, record producer, dancer, fashion model, music video director, actress and soon to be a fashion designer.

Born in Austin, Texas, United States, Ciara made her debut in the summer of 2004 with the Billboard #1 single Goodies (feat. Petey Pablo). The album Goodies was released in the US on September 28, 2004, and in the UK on January 24, 2005. It produced three #1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, selling three million in U.S and over five million worldwide.

Ciara's second album, Ciara: The Evolution, was released in December 2006. It has spawned the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hit Get Up (feat. Chamillionaire), and the R&B/Hip-Hop Charts Top 10 hits Promise, Like A Boy, and Can't Leave Em Alone (feat. 50 Cent). To date, the album, which went platinum only five weeks after its release, has sold more than three million copies worldwide.

Ciara's third studio album, Fantasy Ride, was released in the US on May 5, 2009. The first official single, Never Ever (feat. (Young) Jeezy) was released in January 2009. The second single, the worldwide hit Love Sex Magic (feat. Justin Timberlake), was released in March 2009. Since its release, the single debuted high on numerous charts, and also has been noted as one of the biggest hits of Ciara's career.

Basic Instinct, her the fourth studio album, was released on December 10, 2010 by LaFace. The album saw the singer return to her urban roots, as it featured R&B cuts and bass-heavy dance tracks. The album was executively produced by the singer alongside her A&R agent Mark Pitts and writing/production duo Tricky Stewart and The-Dream who, also produced records for Fantasy Ride. It also features production by Soundz and T-Minus, and guest appearances by Ludacris and Usher.

Three singles preceded the album: including Ride (feat. Ludacris), which peaked within the Top 5 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart at #3, and following singles, Speechless (feat. The-Dream) and Gimme Dat. The album overall debuted at #43 on the Billboard 200.

In February 2011, Ciara left LaFace Records, citing there was a lack of support in the label promoting her last album and choice of singles (admitting to how she had fund for "Gimme Dat" by herself).

2013-15 - Ciara signed with Epic Records and released two albums, Ciara on July 13, 2013 and Jackie on May 1, 2015.

2019 - After a four year hiatus, Ciara created her own independent label named Beauty Marks Entertainment and released her seventh album, Beauty Marks.
