OmThe Kid LAROI is an Australian rapper, singer and songwriter. He was born Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard on August 17, 2003, in Waterloo, a suburb of Sydney, Australia. He grew up in poverty and was raised by his mother, who was of Indigenous Australian and French descent.
The Kid LAROI began his music career in 2018 by uploading his music to SoundCloud. He quickly gained a following and caught the attention of several record labels. In 2019, he released his debut EP, 14 With a Dream which showcased his melodic style and emotional lyrics.
In 2020, The Kid LAROI gained international attention after being featured on the remix of "Hate Me" by English singer Ellie Goulding. He also signed a record deal with Columbia Records and released his second EP F*CK LOVE which featured collaborations with artists such as Juice WRLD, Marshmello and Lil Mosey. The EP was a commercial success and peaked at number three on the Billboard 200 chart.
