AboutDaphné is a French singer-songwriter, born on September 28, 1974 in Clermont-Ferrand, France. At 7, she started writing poems. Later, she studied Modern Letters at Paris' Sorbonne. In 2001, Daphné started writing songs & in 2003, she met arranger Camille Rocailleux & thanks to Benjamin Biolay, she signed to V2 in 2004.
In April 2005, Daphné released her debut album L'Émeraude, arranged & produced by Camille Rocailleux. The 2 singles have been "L'Insoumise", co-produced by Biolay & "Théo Soleil".
In April 2007, she released her second album Carmin & Jean-Philippe Verdin produced 9 songs. The 2 singles have been "Musicamor" & "Le Petit Navire". The album received the Prix Constantin the same year. Daphné performed at Paris' Café de la Danse et Cigale.
In 2010, Daphné recorded her third album between Paris & Los Angeles, with arrangers Larry Klein & Vince Mendoza. Released in February 2011, Bleu Venise included 2 singles, "L'Homme À La Peau Musicale" & "Mélodie À Personne". In June 2011, Daphné performed a duet with Benjamin Biolay, "The Way You Look Tonight" in "Taratata".
In 2012, Daphné left V2 (distributed by Universal France since 2008) & signed to Naïve. In October 2012, she released Treize Chansons De Barbara, a cover album that includes duets with Jean-Louis Aubert & Benjamin Biolay.
