ÜberIzïa Higelin is a French actress & singer, born on September 24, 1990 in Paris, France. She is Jacques Higelin's daughter. At 13, she started playing the guitar & wrote songs only in English, influenced by John Lennon. Her namesake band includes musicians Sébastien Hoog (guitar) and Grégory Jacques (drums).
In 2006, she performed at Bourges' Printemps. In 2009, she signed to AZ & released her debut album Izïa, that included "The Light", "Let Me Alone", "Blind" & "Lola". In 2010, after having received a gold disc, Izïa won 2 Victoires de la Musique : "Rock Album" & "Scene Revelation". The Frenchwoman appeared on television & went our tour with her band.
In 2011, Izïa released her second album So Much Trouble. The album has been certified gold.
