The videos on LSI are used from YouTube. When a song is requested on LSI, the LSI system automatically performs a search on YouTube to find its video. The video that gives the best match is used.

Matching

The matching process is based on several parameters of the video: the title, description, popularity, rating, etc. The title of the video is the most important, so this parameter has a higher importance. Also, the "embedding" parameter must be enabled, meaning that YouTube allows the video to be displayed on other website.

No video

When the best matching video does not reach the required minimum match score, no video is used, apparently the video is not available on YouTube. This can happen if the song has been removed everywhere on YouTube due to copyright claims, or if the song is so obscure that nobody has uploaded it on YouTube yet.

Incorrect video

Sometimes, a wrong video is selected. This happens when one or more parameters of the video aren't entered properly. For example, when the artist or song name isn't mentioned in the video title. When the YouTube video title correctly mentions the artist and song name, a mismatch should not happen. However, if one does, you can change the video by editing the song and pressing the "video" button at the top. Then, you can use the YouTube search within LetsSingIt to find a correct video. Note that you can only change videos of songs by artists you are moderating.
