That fairest young Macdonald, the pride of Glencoe.

I asked her her name and how far she did go.

When he saw she was loyal he pulled out a glove
That she gave him when parting as a token of love.

The dangers of war at a distance may blow,
But in peace and contentment we'll reside in Glencoe.
