के बारे मेंThe Amstelveen DJ and producer Martin Garrix (Martijn Garritsen, 14 may 1997) gets in 2004 interested in electronic music as he sees Tiesto playing during the Olympic Games in Athens. He plays at young age at the large dance festival Mystery Land and is the youngest DJ that played in Privilege, one of the biggest clubs on Ibiza. In the summer of 2012, he turns there twice during the party, " Don't Let Daddy Know, together with artists like Sean Paul, Nicky Minaj, Head, Steve Aoki, and Sidney Samson. He signs with the Dutch label Spinnin' Records and releases the track BFAM (Brother From Another Mother) november 2012, together with Julian Jordan . The track is within five days, more than 125,000 viewed on video website YouTube and it gets its official radiopremière on BBC Radio 1, during the program, Pete Tong's Essential Selection. During the presentation of the Nightlife Awards from radio station SLAM!FM, 6 november 2012 in the Matrixx to Nijmegen, Garrix wins the DJ Talent of The Year Award. Garrix is approached by the label RCA Records for the making of the official remix of Christina Aguilera's new single ' Your Body (2012), taken from her album Lotus. The producer signs in march 2013 a contract with Ace Agency, the agency where Afrojack is connected.. His single Animals gets in October 2013 the Billboard Top 100, and hits a month later number 1 in the Uk. It is the fourteenth Uk number 1 hit for a Dutch act since the band Pussycat in 1976. The video with Animals is in the middle of november, almost 69 million views on YouTube. Garrix signs a contact with Scooter Braun, the manager of the Canadian idoll Justin Bieber. The DJ goes on tour in February 2014 for two weeks , in the USA. The DJ receives the Buma Award 2013 Internationally because of the foreign success of his single Animals.
