RólFifth Harmony were originally an American five-piece girl group formed on the second season of the The X Factor USA in July 2012. The group's members were Ally Brooke Hernandez, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane Hansen, Lauren Jauregui and formerly Camila Cabello. Through their exposure on X Factor, they signed a joint deal with Syco Music, owned by Simon Cowell, and Epic Records, L.A. Reid's record label, after finishing in third place on the show.
Following their exit from X Factor, they released their debut single Miss Movin' On. Their debut EP, Better Together EP was released in 2013 with a first week position hit #6 on the U.S. Billboard 200. The following year, they won the Artist to Watch award at the MTV Video Music Awards.
The group released their debut studio album, Reflection in February 2015 debuting at #5 on the Billboard 200, receiving a gold certification from the RIAA. The album included the platinum singles Bo$$, Sledgehammer and Worth It. The latter achieved triple platinum certification in the U.S. and reached the top 10 in thirteen countries. Their lead single, Work From Home from their sophomore album, 7/27, became the group's first top 5 single on the Billboard Hot 100.
With 7.5 million certified records sold, Fifth Harmony has emerged as the most successful alumni from the X Factor US franchise.
On December 19, 2016, Cabello announced that she left Fifth Harmony.
On August 25, 2017, Fifth Harmony released their third and final self-titled studio album (an album which the girls had writing and creative control over) featuring singles Down, He Like That and Por Favor. The latter as a bonus track on their album on Spotify.
Fifth Harmony left on a heartfelt goodbye note as a group with their release of Don't Say You Love Me music video on May 18, 2018.
