AboutLil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., is a rapper, singer, songwriter and record executive from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was born on September 27, 1982 and began rapping at a young age. Lil Wayne is known for his unique flow, clever wordplay, and prolific output, having released numerous mixtapes and albums throughout his career.
Lil Wayne's career began in the mid-1990s when he joined the record label Cash Money Records as part of the group Hot Boys. The group's debut album Get It How U Live!! was released in 1997 and was followed by several more successful albums. Lil Wayne released his debut solo album Tha Block Is Hot in 1999 which went platinum and earned him mainstream recognition.
Over the years, Lil Wayne has released many successful albums, including "Tha Carter" series, "I Am Not a Human Being" and "Tha Carter IV". He has collaborated with many other artists, including Drake, Nicki Minaj and Jay-Z and has won multiple awards, including four Grammy Awards.
