RólManau is a French celtic rap band, created in 1998. The 3 members have been musician Hervé Lardic, DJ Cédric Soubiron & singer Martial Tricoche (born on June 21, 1969 in Saint-Denis, France).
In 1998, the band's debut single has been "La Tribu De Dana", that samples the traditional "Tri Martolod". It has been N°1 in France during 12 weeks & also spreaded to Germany, the UK, Switzerland, Québec & even New Zealand. 1.7 million copies have been sold in France. Manau's debut album Panique Celtique came out on Polydor/PolyGram. 4 other singles came out. The same year, Hervé Lardic left the band & started a solo career as Air-V. The 2 remaining members, Cédric & Martial, got a Victoire de la Musique for "Best Rap Album" in 1999.
In 2000, Manau's second album Fest Noz De Paname came out on Universal/Polydor. The most successful single has been "Tout Le Monde... (A Besoin De Tout Le Monde)". Unfortunately, the album failed. In 2003, Martial released his debut solo album, Premier Pas.
In 2004, Manau's third album On Peut Tous Rêver came out. Although it has been unnoticed, the band continued touring in France, Switzerland, Belgium & Czech Republic in 2006. In 2007, Cédric Soubiron left the band & Martial was the last remaining member on the Best Of.
