RólPnau is an Australian electronic dance music group formed in Sydney in 1999. The group consists of Nick Littlemore, Peter Mayes and Sam Littlemore.
Nick Littlemore is the lead vocalist and also plays various instruments such as keyboards, guitar, and drums. Peter Mayes is the guitarist and Sam Littlemore is the drummer and programmer.
Pnau released their debut album Sambanova in 1999, which was a mix of house, funk and Brazilian music. The album received critical acclaim and the track Follow Me became a hit in Australia.
Pnau's second album PNAU was released in 2007 and featured the hit single Baby. The album received critical acclaim and was nominated for several ARIA awards.
In 2011, Pnau released their third album Soft Universe which featured the hit single Solid Ground. The album was praised for its blend of electronic and acoustic instrumentation.
In 2012, Pnau gained international attention when they collaborated with Elton John on the album Good Morning To The Night which was a remix of John's classic tracks. The album reached number one in the UK charts and was certified gold in Australia.
Pnau continued to release music throughout the 2010s, including the albums Changa (2017) and Lucky (2019). They also collaborated with other artists such as Ladyhawke, Empire Of The Sun and Kylie Minogue.
In addition to their work with Pnau, Nick Littlemore is also a member of the electronic music duo Empire Of The Sun and has worked on various other musical projects. Peter Mayes has also worked as a producer and remixer for artists such as The Killers and Sia.
