About"I Am So Me" is the Pop/Rock-act that the music scene in the Swedish north have been missing and with their joyful attitude, they have succeeded in winning the audience's hearts in many places around the country ever since they were formed during the winter of 2008. Their music, which is energetic and catchy, appeals to both young and old which has been proved when they've had success in many music competitions where both the audience and different jury-groups had great influence.
They were already at the top when it came to the local finals of two big national competitions in early 2009. The guys got lots of attention in media since they like to show off on the stage as well as after the shows. It has been appreciated very much by the people around them. In the autumn of 2009 they were featured in "Bandit Unsigned", a competition for unsigned bands arranged by the radio station "Bandit Rock" and were one of four bands in the grand finale. They managed to win, voted by the Swedish people (who had given their vote on the Internet), the audience in place and a jury. Their victory resulted in their debut single, including the songs "Nothing Like You" and "This Weather Sucks Without You" which was released on "Supernova Records". An album is coming up and according to the guys themselves, it's gonna be a good one.
The band consists of four guys. "Johan Lindström" plays guitar and does so with flying colors. Bassist "Fredrik Vestlund" hums on in the lower regions while "Erik Berglund" smashes the drums like no other. "Christopher Grahn" is the singer and pretends he's also a guitarist, backing up Johan when needed. The sources of inspiration which the guys use to put into their music are many. "All Time Low", "Paramore" and "You Me At Six" are just two of the bands they like to compare themselves with. They have combined heavy guitars with the energetic attitude and melodies of Pop/Rock. These four guys are fighting very hard to become one of Sweden's major new music-exports and are hoping to stand among the really huge bands one day. They have been predicted a prosperous future of both musicologists and enthusiastic fans and they're here to stay.
