John Williams is one of the most famous Hollywood soundtrack composers of all time. His instrumental music is well known in America. He is well known for writing the music to Hollywood movies and TV shows including "Star Wars 1-6" series, "Indiana Jones 1-4", "E.T.", "Jaws", "Superman" series, "Home Alone 1,2", "Jurassic Park", "Hook", "Harry Potter 1-3", "Fiddler on the Roof", "Saving Private Ryan", "Schindler's List", "Witches of Eastwick,", "Close encounters of the 3rd kind", "Earthquake", "The Towering Inferno", "Lost in Space" "The Time Tunnel" and many more.

He also composed the music to NBCs Nighty News, Today, and for the Summer and Winter Olympics, performed at Sports and Symphony Halls. Also his Star Wars music is often heard in NFL football games including BYU football games.

John Williams was born in New York USA, in 1932, His father was a Jazz musician. Later on in 1948 John Williams family moved to Los Angeles California where he graduated from High School in 1950.

In 1952 John joined the U.S. Air Force where he wrote and conducted songs for the US Air Force army. In 1955 John was released from the air Force and moved back to New York City where he took piano lessons at The Juilliard School, from a Piano teacher Rosina Lhévinne and played in Jazz bands.

In 1956 John married his first wife named Barbara Ruick. They would be together until her death in 1974 and he married a step wife named Samantha Winslow.

John Williams first music score was Daddy-O 1958. He also wrote the music to "Peter Gunn" NBC TV show in 1959 with Henry Mancini, he also wrote music to "Bachelor Father" 1959, "Lost in Space" 1965-1968, "The Time Tunnel" 1966-1967, Land of the Giants.

He went on to making soundtrack scores to well known Hollywood movies including "Because they're young", "Valley of the Dolls" 1967, "Goodbye Mr. Chips" 1969, "Fiddler on the Roof" 1971, 3 disaster theme movies including "The Poseidon Adventure" 1972, The Towering Inferno" 1974, (37 years before the 9/11, 2001 2 twin tower attack), and "Earthquake" 1974 and wrote a western score for the John Wayne movie "The Cowboys 1972.

In 1974 Steven Spielberg a Hollywood movie director approached John Williams and asked him to compose a music score to "The Sugerland Express", the shark movie "Jaws" 1975, which won him his first Academy Award for best music and Close Encounters of the third kind 1977.

Then Steven Spielberg told John about a Hollywood movie director George Lucas who needed help in composing music to the Science Fiction movies Star Wars 4,5,6 (Original unaltered version), which he did. When Star Wars 4 came out to movie theaters in 1977. Star Wars changed the way movies were made including the Special Effects and long ending credits. His music was in "Star Wars 4: A New Hope" 1977 which won him a second academy award for best music, "Star Wars 5: The Empire Strikes Back" 1980 and "Star Wars 6: Return of the Jedi" 1983. With the Actors Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford. Star Wars would also be merchandised and have spinoff TV shows and video games, and a ride at Disneyland and would be bought out by The Disney company.
Star Wars 4-6 was considered the best movie of all time by both movie critics and Star Wars fans.

He also composed the music to the Superhero movie "Superman" 1978, 1980 with Christopher Reeve as Superman.

In the 1980s, he returned to work with Steven Spielberg on "E.T." 1982 which also won him an award. He also worked on music for the movie "Indiana Jones, Raiders of the Lost Ark 1", 1981 "Indiana Jones, The Temple of Doom 2", "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 3" Considered the best movies of all time and also a ride at Disneyland.
He also composed music to "Empire of the Sun", "The Witches of Eastwick"
John also performed in Symphony concerts around North America and performed at Sports events.

In the 1990s he composed music to "Home Alone 1, 2" 1990 and "Hook" 1991. Then in 1993 he composed the music score for the Dinosaur movie "Jurassic Park 1" 1993 considered the best movie followed by Jurassic Park 2: The Lost World and Jurassic Park 3, which also because a ride at Universal Studios theme park, "Schindler's List" 1994, "Sleepers", "Saving Private Ryan" 1998. "The Patriot" 2000.

Star Wars 4-6 and John's music would be altered by George Lucas in 1997 and again in 2004 which was criticized by Star Wars fans.
In 1999 he was asked again to help George Lucas, compose the music to "Star Wars 1: The Phantom Menace" which got mixed reviews by both movie critics and Star Wars fans. he also composed music to "Star Wars 2: The Clone Wars" and "Star Wars 3: Revenge of the Sith" which also got mixed reviews.

In the 2000s he composed the music score to A.I. Artificial Intelligence 2001 and the "Harry Potter" 1,2,3 movies. and the forth movie "Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull 4" in 2008.

John Williams took a 3 year break from his music carrier. but then in 2011 he composed the music to "the Adventures of Tintin" 2011.

Currently John Williams is composing music to the upcoming Disney movie "Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens" and to Star Wars 8 and 9.
