AboutLara Fabian (real name Lara Crokaert) was born on January 9, 1970 in Etterbeek, Belgium. She spent her childhood in Sicily, then she went back to Belgium to start her career. At 14, she performed in small halls with her father & studied at the Conservatoire. In 1988, she was N°4 with "Croire" at the Eurovision Song Contest. In 1991, Lara moved to Québec, to promote her 7" "Je Sais". Her first album was very successful. In 1992, she made her first tour & in 1993, she got her first gold disc. Her second album Carpe Diem, released in 1994, was also gold disc. In 1997, Pure was successful in France, Belgium & Québec, the album sold 1 million copies. Lara released other albums in French & in English & 9 came out in 2005. In 2007, her daughter Lou was born.
