AboutMario Barravecchia was born on November 16, 1976 in Liège, Belgium. His parents were Italian. At 11, Mario received a prize from RTBF. In 1993, he released his first single "Mal De Toi" under the name Ricky Florian & studied at Liège's Royal Academy before joining Star Academy first season in 2001. On January 12, 2002, he became the runner-up & Jenifer was the winner. After that, Mario signed to Mercury France/Universal & released his single "On Se Ressemble", followed by his first self-titled album on October 21, 2002. In 2003, Mario married Nelly & his son Matteo was born. Mario's second album Intimo has been produced by Piero Cassano.
