AboutOutlandish is a Danish hip-hop group that was formed in 1997. The group consists of three members, Isam Bachiri (born in Denmark to Moroccan parents), Waqas Ali Qadri (born in Pakistan and raised in Denmark) and Lenny Martinez (born in Honduras and raised in Denmark).
The group's music is known for blending hip-hop, world music, and pop, and for addressing social and political issues in their lyrics. Outlandish first gained popularity with their debut album, "Outland's Official" in 2000, which included the hit single "Walou". The group's second album "Bread & Barrels of Water", released in 2002, received critical acclaim and was a commercial success. The album featured the hit singles Aicha, a cover of the song by the Algerian singer Khaled and "Guantanamo".
Outlandish has released a total of six studio albums to date, including "Closer Than Veins"(2005), "Sound of a Rebel"(2009), "Warrior/Worrier"(2012) and "The Rarities"(2018). The group's music has been featured in several films, TV shows, and video games, including the soundtrack for the 2006 film "The Keeper: The Legend of Omar Khayyam".
