Imam has roots in Syria and Lithuania and, alongside her music career, studied psychology. In 2012 she was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Kingsize Awards and in May 2013 she released her debut album Rekviem [2013] (eng: Requiem) at the record label Playground Music. In May 2014 she released her EP När du ser mig • Se dig [2014] (eng: When you see me • See you).
