OmA virtual K-pop band conjured up by the folks at Riot Games to promote their League of Legends video game brand. The band, consisting of four champions in the video game, was introduced to the fans when they performed an augmented reality concert at the opening ceremony of the 2018 League of Legends World Championship. The four computer generated singers, known as Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai'Sa, were beamed onto the stage alongside the actual singers who voiced them, Miyeon and Soyeon from the K-pop group (G)I-DLE, and American artists Jaira Burns and Madison Beer. The debut song they performed was POP/STARS that was released accompanied by what was to become a very popular music video. The song quickly rose to number 1 on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart.
In late August of 2020, a lyric video for a second K/DA song, The Baddest, voiced, this time, by Soyeon and Miyeon of (G)I-DLE, Bea Miller, and WolfTyla, appeared on YouTube as a pre-release song for an upcoming EP, its release to coincide with the 2020 League of Legends World Campionship running from September 25 to October 31, 2020.
