AboutThe Midnight Beast (sometimes known as simply Midnight Beast) are a British group, from London,[1] most famous for their YouTube cover-parody[2] of "Tik Tok" by Ke$ha. Their video version of "Tik Tok" features all three group members - Stefan Abingdon (21), Dru Wakely (23) and Ashley Horne (21). Stefan added a '£' to his name for the Tik Tok Parody to mimic the '$' that Ke$ha added to her name.
Stefan Abingdon has been in other bands that include (listed in order from first to present): Ink, Icarus Burning (2005), Killafornia, R.U.Twin, The Clik Clik (2005–2007), Perfect People, Chapters (previously known as The Midnight Patrol - still present), and The Midnight Beast (Still present). Dru Wakely was also a member of Icarus Burning, The Clik Clik and Perfect People.
Ashley Horne has been in such programmes as Eastenders (BBC), Genie In The House (Nickelodeon),[3] Foyle's War (ITV)[4], Maths Mansion (Teachers TV) and Doctor Who (BBC).[5][6]
The Midnight Beast write their songs with an emphasis on song parody. On Christmas Day 2009, "Tik Tok (Parody)" was featured on the front page of MTV.com.[citation needed]
Ke$ha has seen and commented on the group's parody of her song, tweeting "holy. shit. this is better than my version."[7][8]
On 3 January 2010 the group uploaded another parody to their YouTube Channel of Jay Sean's song "Down" and Jay Sean has also tweeted about the parody saying on January 21, 2010: "Hahha brilliant. Someone shud mix this with "pants on the ground"..."[9].
The Midnight Beast have a rather large following on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, with thousands of subscribers/followers. Their awards on their YouTube Channel are as follows: #9 - Most Subscribed (All Time) with over 181,774+ subscribers to date; #2 - Most Subscribed (All Time) - Comedians; #9 - Most Subscribed (All Time) - Partners; #61 - Most Subscribed (All Time) - Comedians - Global; #9 - Most Viewed (All Time) - Comedians.[1]

And also at the Latitude Festival 2010 held at Henham Park in Suffolk on 17 July.[14]
