This is for those of you who do a lot of extensive flying
Nationally and abroad
And you are periodically spooked out
About putting your life in the belly of a big steel bird
And your fear of flying is keeping you from exploring new possibilities
And raking in that cabbage
Let's get rid of that fear of flying right now
And deal with the hand that fate's got waiting for us
Here I am sitting on another airplane
Each time I sit on the plane, I roll the dice of my life
Hoping I won't get to paradise, but just to my next destination
Oh, we could go from today from when my pen hit this page
A plane full of people went crashing down into a fiery rage
Nobody lived, everybody died
I wonder what the look on everybody's face was like
When the plane in the air did a swivel and a pike
And skeletons and freedom flew wacky and wild
The life within that we knew, it was in denial
That's right, I'm scared of planes now more than ever before
The fear of hitting the ground in the air is no more
I got a window seat this time as opposed to an aisle seat
So that I can see the big chalky jet engine wing
Hanging from underneath the wing that looks too heavy
For the wing to hold up in the first place as we sit here at the gate
With fear, I say, with fear, I'm trembling at the thought of this airplane
Being held up thousands of miles in the air that weighs multiple tons
Built by imperfect human beings that makes mistakes all the time
Hell, man, what if there's a smudge or a ping or a scratch on the wing?
Or what if there's some faulty wiring that somebody has disconnected
From the engine to the gas line
And one of the mechanics forgot to reconnect it again
And the only one that's paying attention to this act of incompetence is me?
Hell, man, if this plane was built by God or an angel
I wouldn't have to sit in my seat thinking of all this scariness
Who knows, man?
We probably have wings on our backs like all of the rest of the advanced ghosts
Or upper-scale human beings
Then we wouldn't need any planes, we'd just fly over the range ourselves

I feel like an ant, real insignificant

Trying to get close to outer space
