About'Til Tuesday was an American new wave/pop rock band formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1982. The band consisted of lead singer and bassist Aimee Mann, guitarist Robert Holmes, keyboardist Joey Pesce and drummer Michael Hausman.
The band's breakthrough came in 1985 with the release of their debut album "Voices Carry", which featured the hit single of the same name. The song reached No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and won the MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist. The album was also well-received by critics and helped to establish 'Til Tuesday as a promising new band.
'Til Tuesday's follow-up album, "Welcome Home", was released in 1986 and featured the hit single "What About Love". While the album didn't achieve the same level of commercial success as "Voices Carry", it was still a popular and critically acclaimed record.
The band's third album, "Everything's Different Now", was released in 1988 and marked a departure from their earlier sound, incorporating more acoustic instruments and a more introspective tone. While the album didn't sell as well as their previous releases, it was still regarded as a strong effort by the band.
'Til Tuesday disbanded in 1989, and Aimee Mann went on to have a successful solo career. Mann has released numerous critically acclaimed albums and is regarded as one of the most talented singer-songwriters of her generation.
